Paul Pogba will stay at Manchester United for TWO more years reveals Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who also makes Harry Maguire injury claim

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has announced that Paul Pogba will be a Manchester United player for two more years.

Pogba’s future at Old Trafford has once again been thrown into doubt as he teased a move to Real Madrid while on international duty, while he’s also been linked with a free transfer to Barcelona.

Pogba has never fulfilled his potential at Old Trafford and questions are again being asked about his future

The Camp Nou giants allegedly want to sign Pogba next summer when his contract expires, and they can open talks with him as early as January as that’s when he’ll enter the final six months of his existing deal and be free to talk to other clubs.

However, United have the option to trigger a one-year extension in Pogba’s contract to keep him at Old Trafford until the summer of 2022, and Solskjaer appeared to suggest this option will be used.

“Paul’s our player,” said Solskjaer during a press conference. “He’s going to be here for another two years and I’m sure Paul is focused on doing his best for us and we want to see the best of Paul.

“So, in the next next couple of years I’m sure we’ll get the best out of him.”

Solskjaer also claimed Harry Maguire suffered an injury while on international duty with England earlier this week, allegedly shortly before he was sent off in the 1-0 defeat by Denmark.

This knock has not ruled the centre-back out Manchester United’s trip to Newcastle on Saturday – which is LIVE on talkSPORT as part of GameDay – and Solskjaer believes Maguire has everything it takes to bounce back.

The United boss added: “When Harry is part of the England team that beats number-one ranked Belgium, that’s just a normal day and then you get the headlines when you get the sending-off. That’s just football for you.

It’s been a torrid start to the season for Maguire, who was sent off against Denmark earlier this week

“There’s so many ups and downs that we have got to deal with it, individually and as a group.

“Harry’s got great resilience. I know he’ll bounce back. I’ll know that he wants to play, he wants to just work his way out of the last couple of games that he’s been criticised [for].

“He picked up a knock against [Denmark] just before he came off, so I’m just hopeful he’ll be fit. We’ve had a look at him yesterday and give him a test again today.”
